In the sea around the island there are exciting reefs and a well preserved ecosystem. Here we can find species of fish we recognize from other tropical places in addition to 10 species endemic to St. Helena. A population of about 300 local pan tropical dolphins as well as other dolphin species are also frequently seen.
There are more than twenty hiking routes in the mountains we can try out during the days we are not at sea diving, either on our own with the help of a map or together with
a local guide who can show us where to go and tell us abo
ut what we see.
The time of the year we visit St. Helena is also the season for small groups of humpback whales which we hope to spot either from land or on our diving trips.
